Reiki can be traced back to ancient Tibet, thousands of years ago. However it was rediscovered in the late 1800's - early 1900's by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan. The tradition of Reiki was an secretive one, and not just shared with anyone. It was passed on by master to master and student to student by word of mouth.
What is really fascinating is that the Japanese word Reiki is made of two words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". Soooo reiki literally is "spiritually guided life force energy."
Reiki is a technique that involves hands-on healing, through which universal energy is transferred through the palms of the channel to the patient, in order to promote emotional or physical healing.
You see over a period of time these chakras become either blocked, over active, or just stagnate.
So what is happening in the body during a reiki session is your energy centers, which are called CHAKRAS are being healed, balanced, and filled with the universal energy. While blockages such as traumas, limiting beliefs, and ignored emotions will begin the process of letting go.
Reiki works on the ‘life force energy’.
When the flow of life force energy is blocked the human body becomes weak, which then becomes manifested into physical and mental problems. The imbalance of the energy flow can be a result of many external and internal issues such as: Decreases the symptoms of diseases such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and autoimmune disorders,
Stress, Negativity, the releasing of toxins from the body and strengthens the immune system, Anxiety, and many, many more benefits.
