The history behind 86 is a somewhat allusive, however there are three stories that best describe my own meaning of 86Worries.
The first story is about a speakeasy bar at 86 Bedford Street in Greenwich Village called Chumley's, with no address on the door and several hidden exits, so when the cops showed up, patrons were known to 86 , or leave as fast as possible.
The second story is a military history term that came about during the Korean war, a reference to the F-86 fighter jet; when an F-86 shot down an enemy plane, it was 86’d.
The third and final story comes from me and my many years in the restaurant field, you see whenever something is sold out or thrown away, it is 86’d. During my later years I began learning about spiritual practices and behaviors, it then dawned me that i 86’d my worries from my original programming!
Realizing that I desired to share this with as many humans as possible, I decided to grow from the servitude of restaurant to the servitude of all, so then 86Worries was born.
